Corporate Social Responsibility

La-Mo-We Parks & Properties S.R.L. not only sees good practices with social and environmental impact as a demand driven by our clients but also as an instrument that helps us boost the morale of our team and give a greater sense of purpose to our work.

Our Engagement

We emphasized our vision of assuming a leading role in environmental-friendly real-estate management. Furthermore, it is close to our hearts to contribute to the communities of Boca de Yuma and Cumayasa that open their doors to our future clients and us. From the outset of our business activity, we will bring forward two local projects with the same determination.

In Boca de Yuma, we are in the process of starting a playground renovation. At a later stage, we also plan to make improvements to bathrooms, showers, and a stage at the baseball field in Boca de Yuma. With your stay in one of our properties, you support the renovation of the playground with €10. We are eager to create meeting spaces for the younger generation of Boca de Yuma. In the long run, we will install a water-treatment system that facilitates the provision of drinking water on these sites. In the same way with our sponsorship program for youth sports teams, we contribute with the equipment and the uniform, and we carry out friendly matches that make it possible to see a positive impact on the lives of children. We allow our employees to leave early on game day, support the team with their families, and participate in the game as referees or volunteers at the concession stand.

We join our efforts to create literacy programs for those communities that do not have access to education in Cumayasa. According to UNESCO’s latest data from 2016, the literacy rate in the Dominican Republic is close to 94%. Even though literacy has increased in the last six years in the Dominican Republic due to the constitution of a solid educational system, illiteracy continues to be a latent problem, especially in Haitian immigrant communities due to their undocumented immigration status. La-Mo-We Parks & Properties S.R.L. is working on bringing these literacy programs to fruition through close collaboration with local partners. Our facilities will be made available to carry out literacy classes without limitations of age or immigration status, including the necessary educational materials.

We work to ensure that the community has the knowledge, resources, and opportunities to make a positive change in society. We see our engagement as collective efforts and tools for connecting and building stronger communities. That way, customers can see through their investment how they support sustainable projects and feel part of something good.
